Description: Bai Hao Yin Zhen is fleshy bright colored and covered with tiny white hairs. The flavor and fragrance should be delicate, light, fresh and sweet. It can be harvested in spring, summer and autumn. Spring tea has the highest quality and most abundant, which makes up almost half of annual production.

According to the production area, Bai Hao Yin Zhen can be classified into North Bai Hao Yin Zhen and South Bai Hao Yin Zhen. North Bai Hao Yin Zhen is produced in Fuding City. The tea tree is Fuding Dabai. South Bai Hao Yin Zhen is produced in Zhenghe County. The tea tree is Zhenghe Dabai.

History: In 1796, tea farmers in Fujian Province first created Bai Hao Yin Zhen. In 1891, Bai Hao Yin Zhen started to be exported abroad. In 1982, Bai Hao Yin Zhen was awarded as National Famous Tea by the Ministry of Commerce of China, ranking second among 30 famous Chinese teas.

Benefits: Silver needle tea can lower blood pressure and cholesterol and help improve eyesight in Chinese medicine. Some studies suggest that white tea has the most anticancer properties compared to other types of teas.
